From the minute you walk through this new luxury villa you know you are in a special place. The feel of Bali pervades the minimalist designed villa through the use of strategically placed Balinese artworks and colourful textiles and finishes. Balinese stone statues greet you as you arrive by the front door and farewell you as you depart.
Approximately 30 minutes from the international airport, Villa Saraswati located in Jalan Dewi Saraswati, Seminyak is situated on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of busy Seminyak traffic. Not far from Jalan Kunti 1, at the Sunset Street end, you are close to the well-known Bali Deli, numerous restuarants, spa facilities and a well stocked bookstore for your holiday reading.
As you enter the small courtyard you face a large living, dining and kitchen area. Before entering the double glass sliding doors. a small coffee table and two red cushioned chairs are located outside to enjoy the view of the pool and garden. Above the chairs is a stone carving.
A large L shaped, red coloured sofa with brightly coloured cushions in hot pink and multi coloured shades with gold thread are viewed on entering the living room. Centrally placed is a small coffee table in easy reach, for guests. This air-conditioned room is well designed and makes clever use of space opposite the sofa. Under the staircase is a TV console and cabinet for viewing your favourite show or DVD. The colour red is carried through in the lampshade beside the console and on the wall behind the lounge, a painting, a glass ornamental Christmas tree on a wooden carved stand, continue to use these hot colours showcasing the tropical feel. Dark wood has been used throughout this room and contrasts beautifully with bright colours and artwork.
A small, white painted wall divides the kitchen, dining and living area. Behind the wall is seating and a dining table to partake delicious Indonesian meals. Bar stools at the kitchen bar overlook the chef style kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with ample cupboards and sufficient crockery and cutlery for guests. A gas hotplate with overhead exhaust fan and fridge are available and decorative ornaments grace the countertops adding to the Balinese ambience so prevalent in this property.
Directly in front of the stairs and to the right of the entry is the 7 metre long swimming pool surrounded by a small but lush tropical garden. Decorative stone carvings are located around the edges of the pool and a beautiful, large artwork also done in stone is on the wall behind the four sun lounges, situated on a wooden deck. The red cushion coverings blend into the colours of the strelitzias in the garden beds that surround the pool. For ease of use, a small table with decorative Buddha residing, is located alongside the sun lounges to place that poolside drink or book. On the side closest to the master bedroom is an outdoor shower.
Opposite the staircase is a wall that divides the space between the pool and staircase entry. A small wooden console is placed against the wall facing the stairs and above on the wall is another stone carving. This area is an entry statement to the staircase that is lit at night with overhead and wall lights adding ambient lighting to the white floor tiles.
There are three large sized, air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Saraswati, each has its own en-suite bathroom. On the ground floor opposite the pool and beside the staircase leading to the other two rooms is the master bedroom. Outside the room are two chairs and a small coffee table and above on the wall a beautiful stone carving.
The master bedroom is well furnished with a comfortable king sized bed. The bed carries the dark wooden theme through from the living area. The colour red, hot pink and multi coloured gold thread theme is carried through in the cushion, bed runner and lampshades. Two bedside tables, one on either side of the bed has lighting to read by. Opposite the bed is a TV cabinet with TV on top and decorative ornaments grace each side of the unit. A bar fridge is located inside the cabinet for you to enjoy cold drinks. A well-proportioned wardrobe with ample hanging space is located in the room and it has a safety deposit box within. The en-suite bathroom in gold tones is located to the left side of the bed. This large bathroom space is enclosed and has a basin with overhead mirror, shower with a rain shower tap, toilet and spa bath all inclusive.
Upstairs are the two remaining bedrooms with a small balcony overlooking the pool area. Decorated in the same colour scheme and design as the master room, these comfortable rooms will ensure you get a good nights rest. King-sized beds, bedside tables with lamps, TV, cabinet and bar fridge, wardrobe with safety deposit box is exactly the same in all rooms. The en-suite bathrooms on the top floor are both open aired and also carry the gold theme on the walls through from the downstairs and have the same facilities available.
Between the two bedrooms at the top of the stairs is a beautiful carved door that leads into the guest toilet which has a basin and mirror on the wall.
