Villa Sunaya is a restful three bedroom retreat designed for an extended family unit or group of friends looking to escape the frenzied pace of mainstream tourism. Located in the village of Batubelig, this tastefully appointed property is a place to truly unwind and reconnect with loved ones.
Taking the needs of seasoned travellers into careful consideration, Villa Sunaya is a tropical residence that is attuned to the concept of outdoor living. Encompassed within the secured confines of a Balinese compound, the villa features a private pool together with ample space to relax or socialise in style.
Villa Sunaya is suitably distanced from the main road down a residential laneway in the quiet district of Batubelig. It is an area blessed with productive rice fields and the nearest beach is just a casual 10 minute stroll away. Guests will appreciate the laid-back way of life that this sleepy neighbourhood has to offer. Batubelig is just a 10 minute drive from the wining, dining and shopping outlets of Seminyak. A brief taxi ride will have guests enjoying afternoon tea at Biku or sipping sunset cocktails at the ultra sophisticated KuDeTa in no time at all. Villa Sunaya is only 25 minutes from the airport and approximately the same distance from the tourist crowds of Kuta.
Designed to blend seamlessly into the outdoors; Villa Sunaya’s main living pavilion is an open-plan space overlooking the pool and garden. It has a comfortable rattan lounge suite as well as a dining table with seating for up to eight adult guests. This relaxing area is bathed in natural sunlight with an elevated roof for optimal air-circulation.
With a soothing decor that blends a warm terracotta colour palette with quirky pieces of local artistry, the living pavilion is the heart and soul of Villa Sunaya. A well-equipped kitchen is tucked neatly out of sight in a far corner next to a pond while a fully-functional bar is an added incentive for guests who like to partake in a social drink or two.
With a total of three bedrooms, Villa Sunaya can accommodate up to six adult guests without compromising personal comfort or privacy. The master suite, featuring garden views, a mosquito-netted bed and decorative window shutters, is a sanctuary for the senses. It has its own en-suite bathroom with a charming outdoor courtyard and sunken tub for bathing indulgence.
An additional bedroom is positioned at the far end of the living pavilion. It is decorated in Villa Sunaya’s signature shade of terracotta with a large bathroom facility. The secluded third bedroom is located near the front gate and has a similar aesthetic appeal. It also comes with a spacious en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower.
Villa Sunaya is blessed with a refreshing outdoor environment complete with a generously sized swimming pool that is perfect for a morning session of laps or to just beat the heat of the day. Vibrant shades of tropical greenery bring this garden setting to life. There is also a manicured lawn for children to play safely under the watchful eye of a parent.
A handful of reclining loungers can be positioned strategically around the pool to catch the sun. While an elevated garden pavilion with an all-weather mattress provides a shady niche to laze the day away. It is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or take pleasure in a reviving afternoon nap.
Villa Sunaya is a member of the exclusive Canggu Club and all guests are welcome to enjoy privileged access to this high-end recreational establishment. The club features world-class sporting facilities, a gym, swimming pools, a restaurant, pub and kid’s room. There is also a library and fun activities for all ages. The Canggu Club is just 5 minutes by taxi from Batubelig.
